We did it!

November 27, 2018

In this season of gratitude, we are grateful for our amazing donors who contributed over $3,000 toward the Privateer Pantry-- thanks to you, we were able to fill the fountain and the shelves! We've been moved by your support, and cannot thank you enough for your generous donations.

In case you missed it (or if you just want to relive it), view the video below for Fill the Fountain highlights. A great time was had by all and 20 students were served as a result of the event!

On this #GivingTuesday and throughout the year, we ask that you keep in mind the Privateer Pantry and the students we are able to serve thanks to support from people like you. (We have extended the donation link just for #GivingTuesday!)

With sincerest thanks,

LeeAnne & Reagan

Tomorrow's the big day!

November 19, 2018

WOW! What a response we have gotten to the Fill the Fountain/Bucks for Ducks campaign. Thanks to your efforts we have succeeded in filling the fountain with all academic units, the SGA President and two staff members from Student Affairs! We still have time to add a few more bucks so if anyone has waited to give, let them know to do so soon!

TOMORROW IS FILL THE FOUNTAIN!

Please be sure to stop by the Merrick Fountain between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to watch those duckies fill the fountain with your favorite campus celebrities inside. The pantry will also have pre-made packages of food available for students to pick up for the break.

We hope to see you there,

Reagan & LeeAnne

Weather Update for Fill the Fountain

November 12, 2018

We wanted to fill the fountain tomorrow but Mother Nature has other plans! Stay warm and dry tomorrow and see us instead NEXT TUESDAY, November 20th, 2018 as we fill that fountain from 12:30 to 1:30 PM and host a pop up pantry for students who might need it over the break.

Good News: This means that our crowdfunding page will remain open for another week, as well!

As an added treat, when we hit $3,500 in funds raised, we'll share our gag reel! (Believe us, there's plenty to work with there!)

Thanks again for your support-- we hope you're enjoying Bucks for Ducks and we hope to see you at the fountain next Tuesday!

With Privateer Pride,

LeeAnne & Reagan

Just one day left!

November 12, 2018

Tomorrow is the big day when we get to fill that fountain!!

As we’ve met donation milestones, campus celebrities have been placed on deck to float on giant rubber ducks in the Merrick Fountain (between the amphitheater and the Earl K. Long library) TOMORROW from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm. So far, the following “celebrities” will be floating in the fountain:

  • Norma Jean Mattei for the College of Engineering
  • Cap’n Horace for Interdisciplinary Studies
  • Rachael Smith for the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Human Development
  • Steve Johnson for the College of Sciences
  • Rebecca Chaiban for the College of Business
  • Kenady Hills, SGA President
  • LeeAnne Sipe & Reagan Laiche, Student Affairs

If we meet $5,000, Dean of Students, Carolyn Golz, will float. At $10,000, Dr. Nicklow will, too!

Watch the video below for total funds raised as of 9:30 AM today.

Hope to see you at the fountain tomorrow-- bundle up! It's going to be chilly.

We're only $179 from meeting our next goal and sending us (Reagan and LeeAnne) into the Merrick Fountain!

Mark your calendars for 12:15 PM on Tuesday, November 13th to stop by and see us Fill the Fountain!
