GiveUNO Day 2018

What is GiveUNO?

GiveUNO is the University of New Orleans’ 24-hour giving day that aims to inspire all supporters of UNO to come together in partnership to help build the future of the University.

Between midnight and 11.59pm, on Tuesday 30 October 2018 alumni, parents, staff, students, friends and local community leaders will be asked to show their Privateer Pride and support the University.

At 60, the University is building momentum for the future and GiveUNO Day 2018 is your opportunity to join others in showing commitment to the prosperity of the local community by supporting UNO in its mission. 

What areas can I support?

GiveUNO will be highlighting UNO First, the University’s unrestricted annual fund. UNO First supports all aspects of the student experience, across all College’s and Departments. It resources scholarships, state-of-the-art teaching, and research facilities and academic program enhancements and provides flexibility for the University to respond to challenges and opportunities as they arise. 

How will my donation be used?

Gifts made on GiveUNO Day go directly to UNOFirst. 100% of your donation goes straight to ensuring today’s Privateers reach tomorrow’s potential.

How can I make a gift?

You can make a secure credit card gift online via this site - just choose your gift level and complete your payment details. 

There are also a number of other ways to pledge your support for the day and then send us your check in the mail.  

1. Answer the call from our Student Calling Center. 
2. Call 504.280.6365 and make a payment or pledge commitment over the phone.
3. Email us to confirm your pledge commitment, then send your check in the mail.

Can I make my gift early?

Yes! To coincide with UNO Alumni Week celebrations, you can make a gift in advance from 10.23.2018.

Is my donation secure?

Our secure gift form uses technology that complies with the highest data security standards and we do not store or access your credit card information. The information you provide is used only by the University of New Orleans Foundation to process your gift and is not sold to or shared with third parties. What is the Student Calling Center?

The University of New Orleans runs a year-round telephone program to connect current students with alumni and other members of the University community. On 10.30.2018, the Student Calling Center will extend their hours to help us reach as many alumni and friends as possible between 8 am and 8 pm. We hope you will be available to answer their call. If you are concerned, you can verify that you are speaking with one of our student callers by asking to speak with the Supervisor or call the number below.
